Fogoff has no account, no servers and no ads. Everything it records stays on your phone. We can't see your data, and nobody else can either.
Fogoff uses Android's Accessibility Service API so it can count reels automatically. Android only lets the service see Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat and Facebook. Inside those apps Fogoff reads the screen to recognise the short-video feed and to tell one clip from the next (it turns the creator name and caption into a short fingerprint that is kept in memory and never saved). It stores only that a reel was watched, when, and in which app. It uses the same service to close a feed when you reach a limit you set, and to show the live counter. It never reads what you type, your messages, passwords or payment details, and does not look at any other app.
Reel counts and time spent in feeds, your Clarity Check results (reaction time, memory span, how you felt), sleep, water and coffee you log, resets, focus-training results, experiments, your settings, and the first name you enter. Reel and reset history older than 120 days is deleted automatically.
If you choose a walk reset, Fogoff asks for the Physical activity permission and counts steps with your phone's step sensor. The daylight reset uses the light sensor. Readings are used live to complete the reset and are not stored.
Fogoff Plus is sold through Google Play. Google handles payment; Fogoff only receives confirmation from Google Play that you own Plus. Google's privacy policy applies to the payment.
Fogoff does not share or sell any data and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. A Fog Receipt image or video is only shared when you tap Share, and only with the app you pick.
If Android backup is on, your phone may include Fogoff's data in your own encrypted Google backup, so it comes back when you set up a new phone. You can turn this off in Android settings.
Uninstall Fogoff, or go to Settings → Apps → Fogoff → Storage → Clear storage. That deletes everything, immediately and for good.
Fogoff is not directed at children under 13.
Fogoff is a wellbeing tool, not a medical device. Its scores are not a diagnosis. If brain fog is persistent or severe, talk to a doctor.
If this policy changes, the new version will be in the app and on the Play Store listing, with the date at the top.
